What are the obstacles to growth for any evangelical church?
- Impact of the building on attendance (80% rule)
- 200 person ceiling usually results in church not growing much beyond 150-160
- Culture that excludes people (Social clicks? Toxic personalities? Rigid social structures)
- Those who started the church not letting go of their positions of influence or not making room for others (Founding families / church Planter)
- Aging Eldership/Leadership board
- Church has become too much of a social club and not enough evangelistic focus
My question would be – is this list complete, and to what degree have each of these influenced life at in your church?
