My Philosophy Statement Of Preaching:
Not every sermon should be an evangelistic event, but every sermon should bring people to a greater understanding of God’s redemptive work in Christ Jesus.
Abbreviated explanation:
I consider myself to be a big idea preacher. I try to form my message around one main idea. The big idea should always come from the biblical text and so I also see myself as an ‘expository’ preacher. I see the pulpit as a tool to lead and for God to use in transforming lives. The pulpit is a great place to share ideas and unite people around a common goal.
